Thanks to everyone!
In the last entry, I complained a little about the schoolfs response. However, I have to acknowledge that they are trying to do their best to understand Kotafs disease and to cooperate as much as possible. Especially Kotafs classroom teacher has never complained about this issue, even though we have asked for a lot of things. We really appreciate it
Also upon Kotafs hospitalization, we have got tremendous support and cooperation from our friend families in Bay Area. One thing was meals for Kota and parents. They kindly provided a lot of meals so that we could have them without any preparation. Another thing about the hospital is that we could enter the building 24/7. I guess it might be a common policy of Americafs hospitals that patients and their family members should be as comfortable as possible, which is not the case in Japan.
Another thing I should mention is to have our first grade daughter be taken care of by her friendsf families. Even though there was Thanksgiving weekend, two families kindly offered to take care of her as sleep over.
I also appreciate internet, especially some message boards. Not to mention, moyamoya.com by DJ gave us a lot of information. There is a Japanese web site named like gFight against Moyamoyah, which also gave us a lot of relief and courage.
Finally, many thanks to grandparents of Kota and relatives in Japan who were praying there.
I am writing this in the morning on January 3rd, 2005. Time has flown since Kota had surgery last November, and the school has started. I have just sent kids to school and returned home, tasting the happiness of having them go to school normally.
